Telling our Story… $365/year pays for security deposits on rental housing for a single mother and her children. $1,500/year  provides 12 months of utilities for two families. $2,500/year provides debt reduction assistance. $3,000/year provides homebuyer’s education class materials for 100 homebuyers. $5,000/year provides 12 months rent payments for a homeless person.

 
HRC Staff and Salvation Army & Marine volunteers bring Angel Tree and Toys for Tots to over 700 Hancock County children each year.

 

Volunteering Since Hurricane Katrina hit on August 29, 2005, Hancock County and the Gulf Coast have made tremendous progress in the rebuilding efforts. That thanks goes to the many thousands of volunteers who have given their time. Many of our volunteers say that their experience on the Gulf Coast has changed their life and they get more back than they give. Please join us for an afternoon, or a week, or as long as you want and can give. We appreciate all you do from the bottom of our hearts.  Community and Out-of-state volunteers help rebuild homes.
