We are now accepting requests for assistance for all programs. This is important information about your Request for Assistance and the HRC Process. •HRC uses EMAIL to communicate. Please check the email you provide for information regarding your request. •Hancock Resource Center is located in Waveland, MS and serves the Mississippi Gulf Coast. •THIS IS THE FIRST STEP OF APPLYING FOR ASSISTANCE. there is no guarantee of assistance. •HRC uses the information to screen you for available programs. If anything not completed on the Request, HRC will NOT contact you to get additional information. If there is not a program available, you will only receive an email stating that you are not eligible. If the screening indicates that you MAY be eligible, HRC will attempt to contact you by email, phone, or text on three different days. The phone number that will show up on your screen is 228-463-8887. If you do not respond, your request will be discarded and you will have to start over. •Applicants will be processed in the order received but there are Priorities and Admission Criteria that may lead to someone that applied after you did being served before you. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
Driver’s licenses for all adults over 18 years old
Social security cards for all adults and children
Birth certificates for all children 18 years old and under
A copy of your whole lease
A copy of your 3-day notice, eviction notice, or court summons
3 months of bank statements (this includes physical and online banks including CashApp, Chime, etc.)
Income: 2 months of pay stubs from employment or SSDI/SS award letters
SNAP award letter
Proof of child support payments, retirement, or any other income
The 16th Annual Waveland Crawfish Cookoff is back! April 20, 2024 marks the 16th Cookoff hosted by Hancock Resource Center will be held on Coleman Avenue in Waveland. HRC’s mission is accomplished by addressing obstacles and barriers to housing and coordinating services for families in need.
Twenty teams will compete for the Best Crawfish, with trophies awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. Cash prizes are also awarded to the top teams, with 1st place earning $500 and 2nd place taking home $250. Special prizes are given to the teams who win the People’s Choice Award and the Most Unique Item and Best Crawfish Dish. Team Registrations is open now!. There is a $150 registration fee that includes with four members per team. The 16th Annual Waveland Crawfish Cookoff begins at 11 a.m. and lasts until 5 p.m., or when the crawfish runs out. It will be an awesome event with amazing food and live music by the Barstool Cowboys. Limited Advanced Tickets are $25 for adults (13 & over), $10 for children (10-12), while children 9 and under are free.Advanced Ticket Sales end on April 8, 2024.
